DMV Call Center Will Add 21 jobs

The Department of Motor Vehicles announced on Friday October 13th that it will reorganize its call center operations, the Customer Contact Center (CCC) which will create 21 jobs in Halifax County. Currently the call center is located in Richmond, VA and will be phased out by July 2007.

Halifax Selected For Fulbright Program

The Fulbright Program has accepted Halifax into its elite educational exchange program, Halifax County School Board members learned Monday at their monthly meeting.The organization has accepted Halifax because of its International Academy of Business and Culture as one of only four Virginia schools to participate in its international studies program, according to the Executive Director for Administration Paul Nichols.
